The skeleton is a mature one. There is an expanding lytic lesion of the right ilium. It lies adjacent to an apophysis, the anterior superior iliac spine. The expoanding lesion thins the overlying cortex almost to the point of invisibility. There is no lammellar cortical periosteal reaction. The endosteal margin of the lesion is fairly well-defined with a narrow zone of transition between normal and abnormal bone.
