Gary S Schneiderman MD Sutter Neuroscience Medical Group

Dr. Gary S. Schneiderman is the medical director of spine surgery at Sutter Neuroscience Institute. He recently joined Sutter Neuroscience Medical Group after spending more than 20 years in private practice. He specializes in evaluation and surgical care of the spine.

Dr. Schneiderman earned his medical degree from Loyola University School of Medicine in Maywood, IL. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at USC, during which he received the Lowman Award for Outstanding Resident Research. He later pursued a Spine Fellowship at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles. He was certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 1984.

Dr. Schneiderman currently lectures throughout the United States and Europe. He also teaches and directs courses for other spinal physicians regarding minimally invasive spinal surgery. His current research activities are centered on artificial disc replacement in the cervical and lumbar spine.
