Many thanks for the input. My case was certainly a case of giant cell tumour. I thought the questions were: a. can a excision biopsy be done? b. the ligamentous reconstruction? The MRI was showing a well contended tumour with no soft tissue involvement. The surgeon was preparing for excision, since the tumour size is small, excision in toto is not a bad idea. I totally agree with you that a FNAC, or true cut biopsy with frozen section for malignant cells should be done. Please let me know the opinion of your onco-surgeons in such situation. with best wishes, Next time I will not reply in haste, its a promise you vinod Vinod Naneria Consultant orthopaedic surgeon Choithram Hospital & Research Centre, Indore, India http://www.slideshare.net/naneria __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
