dear sir,

i had recently experience same case u had shown here,

i use burr and then 50% phenol solution for cauterisation and then massisve cancellous grafting , and very good resutls within 8 week as fully consolidated and full weigh bearing without pain with full ROM.

approach is lateral and pl preserv attechment of lat colleteral lig.

if u have lack of stock of cancellous graft u can mix it with ALLOGRAN-N ( HYDROXY APETTITE) FROM Bio composites Ltd, UK.

i dont think it require sandwich tech as good subchondral bone still there.

no use of cement.

thanks,

Dr Dhiren Faldu.

Dear All,

22 yr old male presented with pain in the knee and tenderness on the lateral aspect, it started after trivial trauma. X-ray is attached for your perusal. Walk is normal but it does pain on excessive walk.

FNAC done outside reported as GCT, benign, review done in Delhi is same. CXR, blood biochem is normal. Bone scan is clear. MRI images are attached for your perusal and opinion.

I plan to open and curettage the tumor and bone graft it with autologous graft and substitute if required. I shall seek the opinion and advise regarding approach?

Secondly, any experience with phenol?

Anyone using Burrs, we do not have orthopedic Burr set, any Indian contraption or substitute??

Regards

Harpal
