Dear Amal, I am only a General Orthopaedic Surgeon (if there is such a term) but few of my thoughts. For papillary carcinoma of thyroid, the treatment used to be total thyroidectomy - hence a question mark on initial diagnosis and treatment. At present this patient needs an isotope scan to exclude other secondaries before a definite plan of treatment can be made. Wonder whether this is of any help. Dr. T I.
