Exactly.
Looking at the image one more suggestion appeared. Except compression
and distraction to stress the nonunion site you also can use a slight
varization of the tibia. To do this you may insert an AP blocking
"Poller" K-wire to push the tip of the nail a bit laterally. And since
the current nail goes a bit anteriorly at the lat view maybe insert
one more K-wire to push it a bit posteriorly also.

No harm doesn't mean benefit.
