What do you offer for the shortening at the shaft malunion level?
Or leave it as is, and correct the length with THA?
Another plan would be open reduction of the distal femur, temporary
external fixation. In the same fixator perform perQ femoral osteotomy,
them perform gradual alignment and lengthening. Then convert to the
nail.

LZ> Is the femoral head viable? Is it amendable to a bone graft and
LZ> follow the healing progress as the femur fractures are healing.

The patient still not admitted to our unit. As the x-rays show it
looks like the nonunion is about 1 year or close to. Do you suppose
that attempt to preserve the head and not replace the joint would be
justified?
