Dear colleagues ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Venkatachalam <akvenkat15@hotmail.com> To: <orthopod@googlegroups.com> CC: Created: Fri, 23 Mar 2007 17:12:39 +0530 Subject: [Orthopod] Re: [1/3] Neglected acetabular fracture Hello, I would do a ORIF through an ilioinguinal approach with a long recon plate. REduciton may not be difficult, you can apply intraop traction to the head through a lateral pin in the neck and head of the femur to reduce the fractures. Also the supra acetabular fracture needs to be fixed through a iliac approach osteotomiisng the iliac crest and applying any plate. with best regards Dr.A.K.Venkatachalam MS, DNB, FRCS, MCh Orth( Liverpool) Consultant Orthopedic surgeon Chennai www.kneeindia.com www.shoulderindia.com www.hipsurgery.in ---------- End of forwarded message ---------- -- Best regards, Alexander N.
