Subject: [cri-wg] Invitation to join REDCap Consortium
List-Id: AMIA Clinical Research Informatics Working Group

We are writing to invite you to evaluate and consider joining the
REDCap consortium project. REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture)
was created to provide intuitive and secure tools to clinical
research teams for collection, storage and dissemination of
study-specific data. Software modules include traditional electronic
data capture (EDC) tools and also methods for collecting data
directly from participants using secure web-based surveys. Our
software currently supports approximately 400 studies and 1400
researchers at 32 institutional consortium partner sites. Technology
setup requirements are minimal (PHP web server + MySQL database
server + local authentication) and informatics staff investment for
creating and maintaining project-specific data collection tools is
typically less than 2-hours per project. Please visit the REDCap
consortium website for additional details (including demonstration
links):

http://www.project-redcap.org

We have scheduled two webinars to present the software to potential
new consortium partners (see connection information below). The
consortium is open to any academic institution (domestic and
international), and members are provided software and support at no
charge. The webinar content will be structured to: 1) review
existing REDCap project tools; 2) outline planned future modules; and
3) provide details concerning consortium partner membership. We hope
you will join us in the webinar presentation and also invite you to
pass this notice on to others that you feel might have an interest.
