[ORT-L] Sliding Hip Screw For Unstable Intertrochanteric / Basicervical Hip Fracture: Does Side Matter? Can't Post

Dear all

At the risk of flogging a dead horse, I wonder if
anyone knows of any article presenting an updated
theory on the causes of INTRAOPERATIVE loss of
fixation (while putting in the sliding screw....)

Sure I am aware of tip to apex ratio etc but I am
addressing specifically the difference in LEFT and
RIGHT hip fixation due to clockwise fixation of hip
screw

Please find attached an article and letters dated 2000
and 2002
