[ORT-L] Short Trauma fellowship ( few months)? Can't Post

List Members,
I am looking for a orthopedic trauma fellowship of a short duration. I just
want to brush up on my trauma skills before starting practice. I also think
some additional training will be good.
Does anyone know of any program that will accept a candidate for a few
months? Residency completed with additional fellowship training in a
non-trauma sub specialty.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Kevin

Some would suggest an AO program which allows you to visit a site for
several weeks-months and focus on certain aspects of trauma.

I'm unaware of any US trauma after-residency programs ("fellowship") which
have brief educational time periods.

Most sites allow visiting surgeons but your time is likely to be
observational rather than actually working with real responsibilities for
decision making, care delivery, patient follow up, dealing with
complications, performing research beyond superficial review, etc.

You can still learn, but the experiences and relationships built with
mentors during brief visits are far different from those built over extended
periods of suffering together!
