Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a relatively uncommon soft tissue neoplasm with intermediate-to-low grade malignancy. Although metastasis rarely occurs, DFSP is a locally aggressive tumor with a high recurrence rate.

What is dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP)? DFSP is an uncommon skin tumour arising in the deeper layer of the skin (the dermis). It grows slowly but has a tendency to recur after excision. Luckily, it rarely spreads to other sites beyond the skin.
