Description: 40 year old, painful shoulder with axillary swelling. There is a purely destructive lesion of the medial side of the proximal metaphysis of the right humerus and involving the inferior portion of the articular surface of the upper humerus. It is associated with a visible medial soft tissue mass. The endosteal margin of the process is indistinct, a widened zone of transition between normal and abnormal bone. The centre of radius of the destructive process lies within the 'original' bone outline. The periosteum is elevated, but its density is decreased
