The skeleton is immature. There is a peripheral metaphyseal 'lucency' with a well defined endosteal margin. The long axis is parallel to the bone implying a longevity without significant damage. The lesion has a superficial location, but the bone is unexpanded. The main feature is its narrow zone of transition between normal and abnormal bone.
