Description: Dr. Geoffrey R. Dixon has been a neurosurgeon for 7 years. A member of the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch (CINN) since 2009, Dr. Dixon provides solutions for patients afflicted with brain and spine conditions. Dr. Dixon received his medical degree from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. Upon completion of his doctoral studies, Dr. Dixon interned in General Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he later conducted his four-year residency. While at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Dixon researched radiology, focusing on the characterization of material properties of brain tissue.
With five years of past experience as a Neurosurgery Section Chief, and currently serving as an active member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons since 2002, Dr. Dixon is a valuable asset to the advance of neurosurgery.
