Description: Percutaneous repair of a ruptured Achilles tendon is a safe and reliable method of treating such injuries in patients with low sporting requirements. It has a lower incidence of wound complications compared with open techniques but a slightly higher incidence of re-rupture. Sural nerve injury is avoidable by careful placement of the incisions
