Abstract
Small cell osteosarcoma (OS) is a rare variant of OS that is composed of small cells resembling those of Ewing's sarcoma (ES) with recognizable osteoid. This type of tumor often creates difficulty in making a diagnosis when tissue samples do not include osteoid. The frequent sites are long bones and until now there have been no reported cases arising in the ribs.
