Description: Medscape Report 2005: March 3, 2005 Washington, DC - Ironically, one of the hottest news stories to come out of the recent meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons is one about the decline in surgery as a treatment. Over the past 10 years or so, a manipulation approach to the treatment of clubfoot has almost eliminated the need for major surgery in infants with this deformity and has resulted in "better feet" in the long term.
